Mauritius Beach at Exmouth in Western Australia
Description:  The sand is white, medium grained and clean, sloping gently to the shoreline. The swimming is safe and interesting to the beach comber. Waves can be seen breaking on the edge of the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park out to sea and beach fishing is allowed from this part of the coast. The car park is gravel and well maintained and showers, water and toilets are located behind Hunter Beach, below the Vlaming Head Lighthouse. The beach west of Point Murat had a long history of use for unclad bathing, and was declared clothing optional in 1999. The weather is best between April and October, with a prevailing westerly sea breeze so a beach shelter or windbreak can be useful in the afternoon. On other days however, there is little wind and you can enjoy the entire day on the beach.
Directions:  Mauritius Beach is 20.2km north of Exmouth and 1.5km past the Vlaming Head Lighthouse. The beach is 900m long and 50m wide at low tide with rocky headlands at either end.
